Master Keying & Restricted Keys

Many premises - such as flats, company buildings, schools and colleges - have their own unique security issues. There is often a need to restrict access to certain areas or rooms. For example, a company director may be happy for staff to have free access to their particular office, but not to areas that contain sensitive information such as salary details.

To ensure personnel are only able to open doors appropriate to their role, KBO Security can supply and fit a master key system to any type of building - a system designed around one key giving access to all areas. Depending on a customer's particular requirements, the system is then tiered so sub-master keys will only open certain locks within the building, whilst servant keys are limited to only one lock.

Although this may sound a complex approach to security, the benefits are significant - especially in terms of convenience as only a small number of key are involved. KBO Security visit potential customers to offer expert and impartial advice, saving you time, money and potential inconvenience.

For additional security and peace of mind, we can also provide restricted keys, registered to a specific customer, who in turn is the only party authorised to have the key duplicated. For companies, this means they have an exact record of the number of keys in existence and can control returns from ex-members of staff.
