A new chapter for KBO Fire & Security

A new chapter for KBO Fire & Security

With over 30 years in business under our belts, we can’t wait to see what the next 30 brings! KBO has always been a family firm, and so we’re delighted that, as our original founder Kevin Berry, has decided to take a step back from the business his sons are taking over! Lee, Chris and Stefan have all been involved with the business for many years, across a variety of roles and have bright plans for the future, including continuing to use state-of-the-art technology to provide leading fire and security solutions across London and the Home Counties.

The move comes as the company also unveils its new branding – a clean and recognisable logo that signifies togetherness, integration and security – everything that KBO has stood for over the past 30 years and will take into the future.

Kevin Berry started the firm in 1988 and since then, we have grown significantly and now employ more than 40 staff, all with individual expertise and industry knowledge working across London and the South – and although our head office is now in Camberley, we still run the original locksmiths shop we opened in Aldershot right at the beginning. The new generation taking the helm is Lee Berry as Managing Director with Stefan Berry and Chris Berry working very closely alongside him.

“I’m really delighted that KBO is staying in the family,” says Kevin. “It’s fantastic having all my sons involved with the firm and that they have such enthusiasm and passion for what we do. I’m really confident that our existing customers will continue to get the best service and that new customers will see a real benefit in choosing KBO for their security or fire needs. I’m proud of the way the company has grown since we began, and although we now cover London and the South, we very much remain a family-run local business – passionate to excel in service excellence. That commitment to our customers is the most important thing I’ve passed onto my sons”.

New website and online shop launch

Alongside the new company structure, we have also updated our website, launched an online shop and refreshed our brand, in a reflection of the way we do business – traditional customer service with the latest in modern technology.

“We’re really proud of being an independent family-run business,” says Lee. “Many other local businesses are bought by national companies, but we have been determined to remain independent. It means we can offer clients a wide range of leading fire and security systems that maximise protection within the budget they have, and without being tied into going with the same solution every time. Our free site surveys give us and the customer a chance to discover what’s really needed, so that we can design a system that meets exact requirements. That matters to our residential and commercial customers – no-one wants to pay for something they don’t need”.

The website showcases the full range of security, fire systems and services available from us, including:

  • Intruder alarms
  • Fire alarm and detection systems
  • CCTV
  • Access control
  • Remote monitoring
  • Door entry and intercom systems
  • Automated gate entry
  • Safes
  • Locksmith services
  • Commercial and domestic coverage

We offer the same outstanding service to all our clients. Starting with an initial survey, we collect all the information we need about the property and its location, as well as having an in-depth discussion with you about what you need.

We then give you proficient advice, based on our expertise and understanding of the systems we use and the benefits they offer. You’ll get a full specification and quote that allows you to compare our offer against any others so you can make an informed decision.

We believe we offer great value when providing high quality and trusted fire and security solutions. We don’t compromise when it comes to your safety and we don’t believe you should either.

“We’re customer focused and our company values is what makes us successful and keeps our customers happy,” Lee says. “It matters to us that every single customer is 100% satisfied with the work that we do, and all our staff go the extra mile to make sure that’s the case. I’m really proud to work for my family’s business and I’m really looking forward to getting on with the plans we have for the future”.
